REO Speedwagon was way before my time but I was recently shown this song and I fell in love. Part of growing up and moving to Ohio has required me to say goodbye to some of my great friends, some because they were guys and they got married others because they weren't willing to put in the time to maintain a relationship. On days that I miss who I was "back in the old days" I turn on this song and feel empowered to continue on with a "new" life. (And yes I am aware that this song is about letting go of a loved one, but music is meant to be interpreted and this is how I choose to interpret it, so there)
